Haematology / CBC

The complete blood count (CBC) counts and describes blood cells: red cells, white cells and platelets. It is the most frequently ordered test, on admission, before surgery, and in the work-up of fever, fatigue or bleeding.

This panel's reference ranges, in the app

Reference ranges by population, critical values, two units and instant search. Offline, on placement or while studying.

Why the values aren't on this page

Reference ranges vary with the laboratory, the method, age and sex. In the app, each test shows its ranges by population, in two units, with critical values and their source. On a patient's result, the range printed by the lab is always the one that counts.
